VICE CHAIR
John Cooney became a Board member and was elected as Treasurer of CFS Toronto in 2020. John is currently the Vice-President, Legal & Corporate Secretary of Leon’s Furniture Limited. He has been with Leon’s for 24 years. Prior to this, he worked as Commercial Real Estate Associate with Robins, Appleby & Taub, Barristers and Solicitors.
John completed his Bachelor of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law of School and obtained both Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees at York University.
On top of his regular workload, John is also currently: a Member of the Law Society of Ontario; a Member of Harmony Ranch Recreation Club; a Member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and a Member of the General Counsel of Publicly Listed Family Controlled Canadian Companies.
