Ellen Malcolmson is an experienced leadership coach and consultant who draws on her extensive experience in executive roles in telecom, construction, and health care to enrich her practice. Ellen began her coaching practice in 2012. Since then, she has provided leadership coaching and designed  and delivered leadership programs for clients in a variety of industries including financial services, private equity, commercial real estate, media, health care, pharma, IT and not for profit.

 

Prior to becoming an executive coach, Ellen held senior roles in the telecommunications industry and held three CEO positions at Expertech Network Installation, the Canadian Diabetes Association and St. Joseph’s Hospital.  In addition to her leadership experience, Ellen has extensive governance experience. Ellen has served on several boards including Seneca Polytechnic, Unity Health, and St Joseph’s Health Centre where she chaired the board from 2012 to 2015.  Ellen has also served on the boards of Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke, GO Transit, and McMaster University.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Catholic Family Services of Toronto.

 

Ellen is a Certified Executive Coach and holds the PCC designation of the International Coach Federation. She is also certified in the administration of the Birkman Assessment.  Ellen is an alumnus of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Leadership Fellowship program and the Judy Project.  She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Political Science from McMaster University, a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and a certificate in Team Coaching through Georgetown University.
