Opportunity

Catholic Family Services of Toronto is currently seeking a one-year full-time contract Male Engagement Program Coordinator reporting to Program Manager for the Violence Against Women Program.  This position will require two (2) evenings of work per week.

This is a collective bargaining unit position within OPSEU Local 594.

This is a hybrid position – a percentage of the work schedule is eligible to be completed remotely, at a home office.

 

The primary duties required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Reports to Manager of Violence Against Women Program and Services
  • Coordinates and manages program operation and schedules
  • Develops, coordinates, manages, and facilitates program steering/ advisory committee
  • Collaborates with the child welfare systems to ensure a unified supportive approach to services
  • Liaises with community partners and maintains community partnership agreements
  • Attends program related and agency meetings as required
  • Facilitates program orientation for staff and supports program implementation
  • Conducts and facilitates program evaluation
  • Tracks program statistics and completes quarterly reporting
  • Manages administrative duties required for this position
  • Support Program Service delivery
  • Attends to other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Nurses of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or equivalent is an asset
  • MSW, or BSW with, equivalent qualifications and experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience working with women who have experienced abuse is their intimate relationships.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working with men and those who have use abuse in their relationship
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and administrative skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse agencies, and able to work with the social teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Experience with public speaking, group facilitation, training experience, and above average writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in program development and day-to-day program management
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with program evaluation and statistics
  • Working knowledge, awareness and experience attending to cultural diversity, social-economic intersections and work from an anti- racist (AR), anti-black racism (AB) and anti-oppressive (AO) framework
  • Fluency in a second language is an asset
  • Access to a vehicle is required
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check

Annual Salary Range: $60,270.30 to $80,654.30
